Rare Steakhouse - Madison

I visited this restaurant with my coworkers in a large group and we received excellent service. The only downside was that the ambiance was very darkly lit. However, the food and service were fantastic.

The ambiance was pleasant and the cuisine was excellent.

The restaurant has a fantastic historic ambiance with beautiful decorations that create a great atmosphere. The food received positive reviews from everyone. While they are famous for their steak selection, the salmon is also a delicious choice. I highly recommend trying the smoked old fashioned drink as the presentation is impressive. The bananas foster dessert is also a must-try and truly a unique experience.

While it is on the higher end as far as price ranges go, we felt it was well worth it. Everything we had was very well prepared and delicious. We plan on regularly returning when we want to treat ourselves.

Very expensive. Just be prepared. Joe was an excellent waiter and the Brussels sprouts were amazing. The $110 porterhouse was underwhelming.
