Nick's Famous Pizza - Madison

I was charged $20.09 for a single Old World Margarita at this restaurant, even after I pointed out that my pizza seemed to be missing basil. The staff at the front counter told me that there was no basil available and that I wouldn't notice a difference because basil has no flavor. I was shocked to discover that I may not have been tasting basil on Margarita pizzas in the past. The pizza itself was disappointing, with low-quality dough that was burnt to a blackened crisp. I do not intend to visit this restaurant again.

Nick's is our favorite neighborhood restaurant and we absolutely adore it! Their New Haven-style cuisine is always scrumptious. I only gave them 4 stars because my top rating of 5 is reserved for Pepe's, Sally's, and Modern when it comes to pizza. These three places are the ultimate pizza destinations, but Nick's comes pretty close, which is more than satisfactory for me!

First time trying out Nicks and over all good Apizza! The sauce on the red pie was delicious. We also got a fresh tomato pie which was good but I would have loved some fresh basil on top. Crispy thin crust and pizzas were ready when I arrived!

I was hesitant to try pizza from here Bc I wanted to see more pics of the pizza (I very much eat with my eyes first). WELL. I am glad we tried it Bc this will be our newest go-to. It 's classic pizza and it is sooooo good. I always love a place that you can order a minimally topped pizza and it is still incredible, if not more so. Nick 's is it. My husband had half cherry peppers, bacon, and pepperoni (said he would be happy with just pepp next time); I had half mushroom. It was just perfect! (Helpful note, though): If you don 't like it finished with grated cheese, make sure you say so. My husband does not like Parmesan, so we always ask).

I 'm a Grand Apizza convert. Both are awesome, but my recent cherry pepper pie from Nicks won me over. Thin, burnt, new haven style ...peppers had the perfect amount of heat. Nick 's is my new go-to for sure.
