Gotham Bagels - Madison

It's a charming little bagel shop. The bagels are delicious, and the atmosphere feels familiar, like gazing at stars you’ve known your entire life, but this time there's a touch of sweetness to it.

Gotham offers some decent bagels, but they're not worth the over hour-long wait for my order. I understand that busy days happen and things can go awry, but it was frustrating to see the rest of my group, who ordered after me, receive their food before I did. I had to ask at the counter twice before my order was finally ready. I also reached out about the possibility of a refund for the lengthy wait, and the manager—or perhaps the owner—who didn’t give his name assured me it would be handled. However, it’s been over a week, and despite following up after several days, there’s still no sign of the refund in my bank account. It looks like I’ll need to contact my bank at this point. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

It’s good, but it seems like they have execution problems. Why does it take 45 minutes to make a lox bagel? They were somewhat busy, but it’s pretty frustrating to see the guy make it in under 30 seconds after waiting for 40 minutes.

I had the OMFG on a garlic bagel and it is now in my top five best sandwiches I've ever eaten.

Good bagels and great lox! I’ve had sandwiches here which are pretty good, but I liked even more just buying 1 lb of lox and a dozen bagels. Great for a party!
