El Ranchito - Madison

Showed up and was seated outside. The waiter took quite a while to take our drinks. Someone turned on the mosquito lanterns, and we got smoked out for a good 20 minutes before someone came and asked how we were doing. Food was definitely subpar. I think I'm gonna pass on coming back here anymore. It's just not worth the time, money, or smoke inhalation.

My husband and I went here on Saturday at around 3 PM for an early dinner. I immediately noticed that it was freezing in the dining area. I inquired about drink specials and was promptly told no. What Mexican place doesn't offer a drink special in the afternoon?We ordered the stuffed jalapeño appetizer and fajitas. The fajitas were brought out quickly. No appetizer. A few minutes later the server asked how everything, and I asked about the jalapeños. Apparently he forgot to put it on the order. They finally arrived after we were halfway finished with the entree. We were disappointed with them. They tasted exactly like the jalapeños from Arby's. Expected better. The fajitas were great, though. But the service and lack of happy hour specials on the margaritas are going to keep us from returning again.

The food and service are very nice! I just personally don't like crowded places as much. Is always full and we have to wait 30 to 40 mins even when we're 3 people, but everything else is great and the food is fantastic and very delicious. Recommend 8/10

Awful service, will argue with you over their own mistakes. Unfriendly and food is thrown together .Do not recommend this restaurant unless you like bad food and to be treated poorly.

Great place to eat. Food was fantastic, and very tasty. We will go back to eat there again.
