Doolittles Woodfire Grill - Madison

The atmosphere is cozy and family-friendly. The manager and staff are extremely experienced and attentive. The food is incredible! During my visit with a large group, the service was quick, and I truly believe this is a place where you can order anything off the menu, and it will all be delicious. You definitely need to try this restaurant... multiple times!

This is an outstanding restaurant with exceptional food and service. I sampled the BBQ rotisserie chicken and roasted mozzarella, and both were remarkable. The chicken, their signature dish, is cooked over a wood fire, resulting in incredibly tender and juicy meat. The raspberry sauce served with the mozzarella balls was fantastic, and they tasted even better when hot.

For dessert, I tried the melted chocolate cake. It had a nice crust but was a bit on the dry side. The vanilla ice cream was a nice touch, but the dessert didn't wow me. Overall, come for the beer, and stay for the MEAT!!! On another day, I just wanted a salad before my flight home. The Cobb salad was beautiful and fresh, featuring shredded chicken, and it was quite filling.

Diane had served the pan horseradish sea scallops in a mustard sauce with a unique blend of roasted potatoes mixed with tomatoes, bacon, olive oil and something else I cannot remember. The scallops had a beautiful lake and we are perfectly cooked. The mustard sauce was unusual, but made a surprising and delightful match of aromas. The potato mixture also came together in a pleasant combination. I had ribs and her famous wood fired chicken combs. Both were tender and had the good wooden aromas I love, but we are not overlaid. We tried the wallet fingers for and appetizer. In parmesan cheese, they were crunchy with a very good balance of aromas. They also served a rosemary sourdough bread for a starter we could eat tons. Overall we enjoyed and would definitely return. Very recommended!

What a great place. Nice little wine selection and they even have flights. Atmosephere was a step up then most places. Airplane decor was nice. Order a crusted walleye. It was great! Side salad and rosemary bread to starte. I will come back here. Oh ya. Way to go staff. 5 people waited on me. Nice work!
