Al Shish Palace - Madison

We have been fans of this restaurant since it first opened and have dined there frequently. However, our last three carry-out experiences have been quite disappointing. We’ve never had issues dining in, but this is the third time my favorite, the lemon rice soup, has been bland or even worse. We bought a quart but couldn’t bring ourselves to eat it—it was that bad. The shawarma chicken on my almond rice salad tasted like it was several days old, and the baba ghanouj, another favorite of mine, lacked flavor as well. I don’t know what has changed, but I can no longer recommend this place.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent! I've been wanting to try this restaurant for some time and finally had the chance to stop by. The garlic sauce is an absolute must—don't hold back on it! The mixed shawarma plate costs $25, but it's enough to share between two people. The hummus is priced at $12, which I feel is a bit overpriced, and that's why I rated it 4 out of 5 stars instead of a perfect 5.

The food here is delicious, with fresh and tender meats. This is the best restaurant with exceptionally good food, and the rice is absolutely tasty!
