Contribuiți la feedbackI visited this restaurant several years ago with my sister, who had just suffered a stroke, and my elderly father. I was trying to juggle my tray as well as my dad's, while my sister was having difficulty with hers. One of the line servers noticed our situation and came from behind the counter to lend a hand. The food was fantastic, and the customer service was excellent, which I truly appreciated. We'll definitely stop by whenever we're in the area again. Thank you once more for your support!
The food I ordered was delicious, and everything is reasonably priced. The staff is incredibly friendly. Service: Takeout Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20
The food was outstanding! It's a casual, self-service lunch spot with a relaxed atmosphere. The meals were delicious and offered great value for the price. The portion sizes were just right for me, and the dessert was delightful without being overly sweet. I definitely plan to return soon! Service: Dine-in Meal type: Lunch
Ok. Deep breath. I feel as though this won’t be a popular review for the locals. But it’s the truth. I travel all over Georgia for my job. I always look forward to trying new and locally owned places to dine. So when I came across Adrian’s Place online with 4.7 stars Google review I was excited. I pulled into the gravel parking lot. And witnessed DOZENS of patrons making their way in and out of the building for lunch. So I thought I hit the jack pot for sure. The atmosphere: It’s a really old and dingy building. It seemed clean enough but everything was coated with a layer of residual grease and smoke like a lot of restaurants that haven’t seen a deep cleaning in a long time. One of the employees mentioned they are moving across the street soon into a nicer building. The food: Nice selection of sides (entrees change daily except they always have fried chicken available) For $15 you get a meat, 3 sides, a biscuit or a roll, margarine, and a piece of chocolate cake. I chose beef tips, mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, and. Black eyed peas. A roll. Declined the cake. They use canned green beans. They use canned black-eyed peas. (and I suppose I can understand this, it’s common to serve these two items canned I was just really surprised at the lack of seasoning. They went straight from a can onto the Buffet style serving tray with no salt, no pepper, no fat back, no ham, nothing) They use instant or powdered mashed potatoes. And when a soul food “home cooking” establishment can’t produce their own mashed potatoes I get very worried. Homemade whipped potatoes should be a tenet at a spot like this! They use frozen pre-prepared beef tips with onions. And again – sadly – little to no seasoning. I honestly don’t have a clue why people go there. Just stop by Ingles spend $7 instead of $15 and you’re equally satisfied (or not). Essentially, I was fed inexpensive and very bland hospital food. Highly disappointing. The employees: The ONLY good spot was my experience with the numerous employees. Every single one of them had a smile on their face, a welcoming, friendly demeanor, and they made me feel right at home. Now if they could just get back to the “soul” in their soul food!!!! There are numerous homemade lunch spots in Madison Georgia. So maybe as an outsider, I’m unaware that ALL of them basically serve the same sort of canned and frozen dishes and that’s simply acceptable here. I’ll be trying out some of their competitors next week and I will keep you posted.
Great southern food, with great southern hospitality Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
