Sogod Bay Scuba Resort Restaurant

The service at this restaurant is excellent, with food being served promptly and all at once. It is refreshing to see a well-run establishment, as I often encounter sloppy service at restaurants in the Philippines. This is definitely the best restaurant in the area, offering some of the only vegetarian options available, all of which are delicious. The chefs are amazing and the wait staff is attentive and hardworking. I am looking forward to seeing what dinner will be like! Thank you, SBSR!

Well others have reviewed the diving and the resort generally so all I’ll say about the resort is that the rooms are good, the dive facilities are all great, the reef is just WAY beyond beautiful and the staff are all genuinely friendly, knowledgable and...really helpful! So this review is just about the resort restaurant...this was my third holiday at the resort, over the last few years. I ate all my meals there for the week I was staying and every day I tried something different. The food was consistently good very tasty, served quite quickly and they really make the most of local flavours and fresh local products. It’s a mixture of local and international cuisine and the Asian flavours are really authentic. The Aussie chef and two wonderful Filipina chefs do an amazing job with presentation especially the one and only ‘dopeyburger’ and their famous banana or mango floats. I’d only complain that my stomach wasn’t big enough!! The restaurant is small but also has dining outside on the verandah, which has the most spectacular views (and sunsets over Sogod Bay. There is a reasonable selection of drinks from the bar, and everything is very well priced, especially for that standard of food. All in all I’d thoroughly recommend SBSR restaurant!!

I recently had some of the best food I've ever tasted in the Philippines at this restaurant. It's clear that a lot of care and effort goes into preparing each meal, and the prices are very reasonable. The banana smoothies were incredibly refreshing, and the menu had exactly what I was craving after a day of diving. The service was excellent, and the outdoor seating provides a beautiful view of the beach. The restaurant is in a great location and overall, I highly recommend it. My personal favorite dish was the fish cooked in banana leaf.

I had an amazing experience at the resort's restaurant during my week-long stay. The daily specials were fantastic and the diverse menu offered a variety of options. I found myself indulging in the delicious pork medallions multiple times because they were so good. The kitchen staff were very accommodating and understanding of my severe allergies, particularly my peanut allergy, which is usually a challenge for me in Asia. The mango rum drink was heavenly and I was pleasantly surprised by how affordable my meals were when I received the bill at the end of my stay. As a solo backpacker, I appreciated being able to dine so well on a budget. I didn't feel the need to eat anywhere else in the area because the restaurant always had something I was craving on the menu. The oceanfront view added a special touch to every meal, and I loved that the staff on the dive boat would send lunch orders to the kitchen so our food would be ready after our morning dives. Thank you for providing such delicious meals throughout my stay!

Good food but some dishes like the pasta lack seasoning. Menu is small but adequate but after days it got a bit much. All the food we got was cooked well and the staff are wonderful. Prices are fair also.
