Welch's Country Smokehouse - Macon

What a wonderful place. Good prices and exceptional cuts of meat. No matter what you pick, you'll be satisfied.

Everything is Excellent. The smoked cheese is to die for and the jerky is out of this world. And the owner is a pretty good guy too.

OUTSTANDING!!!! The BEST beef jerky I have ever had and the staff there is super friendly and helpful. I drive almost 40 minutes to get it and it is worth every mile!!

I 've bought sausages, jerky and smoked meat here a few times. Everything was wonderful. I had never tried their steaks, until Saturday. I 've eaten 'Morton 's ', 'Ruth 's Chris ', and other high end steakhouses, but the NY Strips from Welch 's were very comparable in quality. I 'm afraid the grocery stores have lost my beef business. Do yourself a favor, try one, medium rare. Really nice folks too.

A friend brought some Welch sausage to a party and it was the best I have ever had.
