Mineshaft Cookhouse And Watering Hole

The first thing you notice when you walk in is how clean it is!! Restroom was spick and span, seating areas were immediately cleared and wiped, and the server was attentive but not overbearing. I ordered a simple soup and salad. Soup was a little small and a bit salty, but still decent. Salad was plentiful and fresh!! Perfect amount of dressing as well. Would've been five stars if the soup was less salty and my onions were remembered. Overall a wholesome and satisfying experience!! : I will visit again the next time I am in Mackay!!

Went out of our way to go to Mineshaft, double checked hours, yet they were not open

Great food, atmosphere. Limited menu but everything made to order. In the area, recommend supporting local!

Definitely the best food out of the few places we ate in the area during our hunting. Also hands down the best service. Even though my husband forgot to tip the bartender that was playing waiter for the night. He did a great job!! Hopefully I can make it up to him the next time we are in the area
