Walk into the Mabelvale Mecca, elsewise known as Three Sams' Barbecue Joint, and you may be overcome with the desire to have yourself a slice of Italian cream cake. There will be everything brownies to tempt you, and divine peanut butter cookies all stacked and ready to go. Then you will be inundated with the scent of good barbecue spice, and you will begin to drool.

Food is always good and service is great. Servers are always friendly and helpful.

This place is a gem! While it doesn't have many seats, the potential wait gives you a chance to meet new people. The food is fantastic, and the servers are equally amazing. By the way, their onion rings are the best I've ever had!

If you're looking for authentic Arkansas BBQ, Three Sams is a must-visit. I've tried BBQ from all over the country, and this place stands out among the best. Although the original location was burned down last year, Sam has rebuilt it beautifully. It’s a cozy spot, so you might have to wait for a table, but it's absolutely worth it. The prices are great for the generous portions, and you’ll likely end up with a to-go box. Everything is homemade, and the BBQ, especially the beans, is to die for!

Whether you reside in southwest Little Rock (Mabelvale) or not, you owe it to yourself to try Three Sams. The BBQ, burgers, and oh my goodness—the loaded footlong—are all outstanding! I agree with the previous reviewer that the Thursday special, the beef provolone hoagie, is excellent. And if you still have space for dessert, you simply must indulge in the peanut butter cake and German chocolate cake. Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly and treats you well.
