The Green Elephant Hostel

Very unsafe hostel, I lost my Mac Book Air and charger and the Manager didn't help much. Even after complaining to police they didn't give a helping hand. Not recommended Noteworthy details: Unsafe Rooms: 1 Service: 1 Location: 4

Great! Especially with the bathtub in the bedroom! How brilliant, we organized a photo session straight away : Separate toilet and sink in the next room, we were able to pick up soap at reception and towels too! The large lounge is the center of the hostel with an exit to the garden and smoke area. In the evening we were able to sit there comfortably and have a drink, quickly came into contact with other visitors, a really pleasant atmosphere The vegan breakfast is soooo great! For that reason alone, I would recommend it!!!! Nowhere else have I had such a great vegan breakfast! The only downside was the constant humming of the air conditioning my girlfriend was able to ignore it, I stuffed toilet paper in my ear at some point because I'm too sensitive to noise. (Earplugs can be purchased at reception : Still 5 stars!!! We had a good time! Thank you

Brilliant hostel, would go here sooner than most hotels. You just feel right at home, the operators are very nice and friendly. There is a large public space to cook for yourself or just sit and drink a coffee. There is plenty of outdoor seating inside. My only complaint was that the doors are very stiff and there is generally too much furniture in the way of the outside area. The location is perfect because all buses and trains leave 50m to the right of the hostel, and there is also a clothing store in the train station. It takes a maximum of 15 minutes to walk to the center of the city. Simply a brilliant hostel, wish all hostels were like that. I noticed how regularly the bed linen and covers on the street opposite are cleaned. Rooms: Rooms are well and modernly equipped with sufficient WiFi and sockets on every bed. Otherwise there were plenty of storage locations. In general I have nothing to complain about. Safety: You generally feel very safe in the city and so does the hostel. Rooms have their own lockers with a code to lock things away. The hotel also generally has security cameras Walkability: It's right around the corner from the train station, a 15-minute walk to the center of the city.

Wonderful hostel with mini rooms that offer more privacy than conventional dorms for an equally if not more competitive price. The rooms are small, but comfortable. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. Literally two blocks from the train station and bus terminal, perfect for travelers arriving in the evening. Not very far from Maastricht city center either, and close to several cafes/restaurants/bakeries. Automated check in and check out is quite simple, and staff are available if needed without any problem. Last point: The bucket of beer is definitely worth it!! Check the option when booking!!!

Nice hostel, good location, friendly staff. Had a great few days and had a nice time in the spa which wasn't bad either Points for improvement: Bread rolls at breakfast were hard and dry My pillow on the bed was yellow and covered in stains Maybe make the counter slightly different because there is quite a distance between the employee and you. A more narrow counter prevents you from hearing each other as well. Final conclusion: Had a nice stay, met nice people, and enjoyed it!
