Fardal Bakeri - Lysaker Norge

The newcomer on Fornebu is this bakery by the waterfront, just a stone's throw from the Seaplane Harbor. This is a place where Fornebu's residents and new parents gather, while we who work here have plenty of lunch options for a significantly lower price inside our office buildings, a change is always welcome, and it's nice to have lunch on the outdoor terrace in the sun. The price level is a bit steep, and the selection in the lunch category is not that extensive. They offer traditional lunches like toast, salad, and sandwiches. No surprises or culinary adventures here. The prices are so high that there is no reason to choose this over the canteens. If they incorporate something more exciting and some hot dishes, it would be more tempting to have lunch here. At the counter, you'll find temptations like macarons in every color and flavor imaginable, and on the other side of the cash register, they have an inviting ice cream counter. And of course, there are more reasons to stop by this bakery, they have bread and rolls. Unfortunately, they do not have operational websites yet, Fardal has an original branch at Hundsund where they also serve pizza, but whether this is an offer they have at Fornebu is not clear in the store at least. Personally, I believe that pizza from here is a good take-out option for residents and fantastic overtime food for those of us who work here. Fardal receives some criticism for a boring lunch menu and high prices. But don't let this scare you away from stopping by for an ice cream or a handful of macarons.
