We had booked for brunch at 12:00 and were quite despised. The buffet was no different from any continental breakfast. At the price they pay, we were really disappointed. Only before 13:00, they brought out warm food that had already eaten what they had to offer. We were never informed that more food would come. For the price they pay, we will definitely not go back. It's a pity because the reviews were high.
The restaurant serves quite standard food but the more unpleasant thing are the chairs. You cannot ask to eat in armchairs or in a sofa, it's not comfortable at all. The Warwick Reine Astrid makes for an interesting choice while visiting Lyon. The price and size of the rooms are certainly great. The immediate proximity to the Parc de la Tête d 'Or (Lyon 's public park) is a major draw. However, this hotel sits a good distance from the city center city (about 20 min walk). From the city center it is another 20-30 minute walk to the Roman ruins. If you are looking to be right in the action this is not the place. If you are traveling with a family for an extended period of time this might be ideal. The suite rooms have the feel of a French style apartment, with a separate living area, kitchen, foyer, bedroom and bathroom. The hotel has a nice restaurant and a few grocery stores in the neighborhood. The main draw would be the proximity to the park, which I would argue is one of the top in the world. Le Parc offers plenty of green space, a free large public zoo, a lake, gardens, jogging trails, and a few amusement style attractions.
Was in Lyon for work this apartment was perfect. Having a kitchen as well as a lounge dining space was great. The neighbourhood is very quiet the nearby parc de la tete d'or is beautiful. A nearby small supermarket had all a visitor needed. It is some way away from the tourist historic area, but don't let that put you off. Buses the very clean metro serve the neighbourhood well. We ate in the restaurant for a few nights the food was nice without being sensational (we found that elsewhere). We'd choose to stay there again.
