La Pasta - Lynwood

Newly discovered this authentic Italian restaurant. Food is great. Anything you order you’ll love. Very simple restaurant but the food is the real draw Worth a visit. Enjoy!

Really high-end food without the high-end price tag. The service was great paired with a homey and mellow ambiance.

Made a reservation on Open Table for Friday, 2/14/20 7:30 PM. My bf and I arrived on time, but were sat at 7:45 pm (no biggie, it was a busy night... I get it). We spent time earlier in the day looking over the menu online and were excited to taste various dishes. We arrived famished and ready to dig in. Before 8 PM we put in an appetizer order for fried calamari and bruschetta, then 5 minutes later ordered our entrees; meat lovers pizza, lasagna and a beet salad... AND we had already decided we were going to order tiramisu for dessert. So, we received the appetizers in about 15 minutes, now flash forward 45 minutes later and...nothing! In those 45 minutes there were 3 tables surrounding us (two parties of 2 and one party of 6). They were all sat 20-30 minutes AFTER us and ALL received their entrees, one table even paid and left. I became increasingly annoyed and I began to suspect our entree order was never put in the system. The owner (lady) went to check and I could see her and our waiter (owner's son) checking the order pad and system and putting in the order. Lady came back to apologize for the long wait and I asked if our order had JUST been put in. She lied, and said it was a busy kitchen and some other BS. Don't add insult to injury, please! At this point I'm hungry but my irritable mood has definitely kicked in. I also asked for water 3x and the waiter forgot every time. I had to hunt down other staff to finally get some water. A couple and their 2 children, that were sat 5 minutes after us, eventually left because of the service. I was OVER IT! I asked for the bill and canceled the rest of the order. They went from a potential $60 profit to $15. I'm super disappointed, I was honestly looking forward to the food. The staff is nice, but their service was awful. Walked out frustrated, sad and hungry.

The service was friendly. The food was worth the price. What a gem!

Had a wonderful meal at La Pasta. It’s a tad different than most other OpenTable restaurants. More casual and in a strip mall. But, the food was good and the waitstaff attentive. Give this a try, you won’t be disappointed!
