Denny's - Lynnwood

We had a great experience dining here for the first time! Everyone seemed to be in good spirits. One of my sons ordered the burger melt with added mushrooms, which he really enjoyed, and I had the pot roast bowl that was so generous I couldn’t finish it.

The food was fantastic, and although the service was a bit slow due to being severely understaffed, I truly appreciated how hard the team was working with so few people. The quality of the food remained high, and it was evident that the cook behind the counter takes pride in her work—whether it's cooking or simply enjoying her job. Overall, I was very happy with my experience, especially as I needed a break from exploring the area.

The food was decent, but the standout was our server, Michael J. He was truly wonderful and provided excellent service with a great attitude!

The restaurant had a pleasant atmosphere, well-lit and free from unpleasant odors, which is a refreshing change compared to some darker, dingier places I've visited over the years. I gave it four stars because, as usual, the customer service fell short. My server, Stevie, at the counter did a decent job, but the female manager and the younger bald man could have been more welcoming. Would it really hurt to refill my coffee? Why does the customer always have to be the one to initiate a friendly exchange? It's frustrating that staff seem reluctant to put aside their personal issues and do the jobs they signed up for. I understand that good help is hard to find and that serving can be a tough gig, but it's time for a change.

On the night of April 30, 2022, around 11 PM, there was just one waitress managing everything on her own. She was swiftly taking orders without writing anything down—what an impressive feat of memory! Besides taking orders, she was also handling the cash register and delivering food to the tables. I didn’t catch her name, but she provided excellent service to my wife and me. I truly hope she appreciates the tip; it’s not often you see someone work as hard as she did. Once again, I didn’t get her name, but I genuinely hope the manager recognizes her for not only meeting but exceeding customer expectations.
