El Jefe - Lynchburg

This little spot had more seating than it appeared at first. The servers were great the soft tacos were very good fresh. I wouldn’t say there was a huge amount for a vegan here, but enough. My husband I started with the chips, salsa guac. Next we got soft, flour tacos of portabella mushrooms potatoes. If we go back (we live an hour away), I’ll try the salad w/black beans corn.

Beautiful, spacious seating outdoors and they are dog friendly (they offer a water dish). vegan options available, but when we asked about the black bean and mushroom taco, they did not seem to have it. we ordered the fried avocado taco on a maistortilla without cheese or limette crema sauce and it was great. it also seemed like they could build their own tacco with sides, but that would require some work. service was excellent and knowledgeable. great cocktails.

I love Mexican cuisine, but the vegan black bean and mushroom tacos were each super moderate. super oily, which is to be expected at the price, but also only lack of taste. it's good to eat if they're drunk in any case. but not for dinner. the guacamole they served with the chips was really good!

Potato, mushroom, or portobello tacos that are vegan when ordered traditional style

I love Mexican cuisine, but the vegan black bean and mushroom tacos were each super moderate. Super oily, which is expected at the price, but also only lack of taste. It's good food for when you're drunk definitely... but not for a dinner. The guacamole they served with the chips was really good!
