We had a lovely and pleasant 5 day stay at the Pavillion of the Winter Palace one of the better hotels on out trip to Egypt. The lush gardens and large pool of the Winter Palace are an oasis of peace and quiet after visiting the wonderful tombes and temples of Luxor. The hotel is centrally situated, walking distance to the downtown restaurants and cafes, the Nile corniche pleasant boulevard to stroll Luxor Temple and museum and the souq. The rooms are a bit outdated and oldfashioned, but very spacious, clean and with a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet was excellent with plenty of choice and good service. Would definitely recommend to stay here when in Luxor!
