Gio's - Luton

While staying at one of the Luton airport hotels, we ordered a couple of pizzas for delivery. While I can't fault Gio's polite and efficient telephone manner, and the friendly delivery guy, sadly the two styles of pizza we tried did not live up to expectations. We ordered what Gio's described 16 Margarita Deep pan and a 12 House Special. From the pre-fab pizza bases to the tasteless sauces and toppings, there really isn't much positive to say other than they filled hunger hole. Its a shame, but on a night when the other more highly rated pizzeria's were not delivering, Gio's failed to prepare a pizza that would make me want to return.

My housemates and I always order food from Gio's now. The food is excellent and we can always get more than enough for a great, great price. The service is fantastic and they're so polite.

My experience at this restaurant was disappointing. I ordered two large pizzas, each different, but they both arrived the same after a long wait. When I called to inform them and request a resend, they claimed they would "sort me out next time," making me hesitant to return. I left a mediocre review on Just Eat, only to discover days later that they had replied with blatant lies, stating that they offered to resend one pizza and that I never mentioned they were cold. In reality, we had not touched the pizzas out of fear of receiving another identical order, and only realized they were cold after starting to eat them. I did not want to confront them again, so we just ate the cold pizzas. I suggest reading the reviews on Just Eat to see how rude and confrontational this restaurant can be. I will not be dining here again and question if they will reply to this review with more lies.

We recently moved to the area in September and started ordering from the closest takeaway. It was decent, but not as good as our previous favorite. So, I decided to browse Just Eat and discovered Gio's. After looking through the menu, I was impressed and placed an order. For the past few weeks, we have been consistently ordering from Gio's at 21 Derwent Road for our weekend takeaways. We are now loyal customers and wouldn't order from anywhere else. The food is consistently delicious, and as a family of 5, we have tried almost everything on the menu. The delivery driver is always friendly, and the food consistently arrives sooner than expected. Thank you, Gio's! X

Tremendous price for the amount and quality of food. Really worth checking out due to amazing promotions they have, they even deliver.
