Antep-Restaurant - Ludwigsburg

The kebaps and the ayran were very good. In Germany generally the kebaps are very different (in a negative way) than the kebaps in Turkey. This place has been the closest taste so far to what it should be. If you want to experience real Turkish taste, this is the only place around Stuttgart I can recommend.

At the end of last year, food inspectors at the Antep restaurant in Lindenstraße not only found serious cleaning deficits, but also found a pest attack. Schaben found themselves in storage room, preparation room and kitchen niche. Even without the cockroaches, there would have been enough unappeal to discover. Hidden lemons and moldy head salad lay around, standing water under a cutting board spread “strongly fecal smell” is to be read in the report. Fritteusen, work equipment, dishwasher, cooling cells, showcases – everything was contaminated, sometimes even heavily contaminated. At the end of October, the Antep restaurant was closed and was only allowed to reopen when a professional pest control could be detected three days later. The restaurant Antep, which opened in the summer of 2015 on Lindenstraße, has now completely closed. The shield and furnishings have also disappeared. It is not known whether recent controls are related to this. There should be much more such controls!

This restaurant was an excellent choice for authentic Turkish food. The Pide and Lahmacun were excellent and just like you would be served Istanbul. The staff was friendly and attentive. Relatively inexpensive so a great place to bring the family! This is a quick drive from some of the usual touristic places in Ludwigsburg. If you are craving middle eastern cuisine, this is the place to be!

After walking around Ludwigsburg's castle and gardens we had worked up an appetite and checked out this restaurant which was recommended. Friendly owner and staff and excellent vegetarian options as well as tasty kebabs. Finished with a wonderful warm and fresh mint tea and baklava, then walked to S train and back to Stuttgart in 20 minutes!
