Bodeguita Del Casino - Lucena

This was our second visit and we’d been disappointed by the restaurants last time. Sadly little improvement this time…. The Bodeguita is one of the top rated places in the town, which is supposedly known for its vibrant tapas scene. We were underwhelmed! We shared some lovely garlicky salmorejo to start that was the high point. Jenny had some grilled fish with dill to follow a small portion, and somewhat chewy. I had a plate of cheesy chips (pretty limited vegetarian options) and though it was a decent sized plateful the cheese sauce tasted like melted processed cheese. Not a memorable meal, despite being able to sit in the square in front of the restaurant and watch the huge numbers of swallows wheel above our heads on a nice warm evening. We wouldn’t eat here again and if this is one of Lucena’s best, they need to up their game.

Fantastic food and service. Will definitely visit again. Some of the best tapas we have eaten in a very long time.

Lugar emblemático de Lucena, vale la pena visitarlo. Aunque se puede comer, nosotros sólo tomamos una cerveza el personal muy atento.
