Caprock Cafe - Lubbock

Overall, we absolutely love this location! It's very spacious, and the staff is fantastic. The food is consistently excellent! Great job to everyone! Next time, I’ll make sure to take pictures of our meals before we start eating, as we can never resist digging in right away!

On Sunday, we went out for lunch and were pleasantly surprised to find no wait. We both ordered hamburgers, which were quite good. The meat options were 1/4 or 1/2 pound; I would have preferred a 1/3 pound option. The Jalapeño sourdough rolls were fantastic! It’s a nice little spot for a typical American meal.

I absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere was wonderfully welcoming, and the service was outstanding. Our waitress was fantastic. I will definitely be back. It was my first visit, and I enjoyed every moment!

Excellent service and food. Enjoy a Pina Colada with Chicken Fried Chicken Jalapeno Bacon beans.

I've given this place 2 chances now and I'm left wondering why everyone thinks it's so amazing. I know it's a Lubbock institution, but both times we've been the food is over salted and over seasoned. And I love salt! On this visit we ordered the queso and it was good but not great. My boyfriend got the ro ends sandwich and tater twisters. He didn't even eat the fries because they were so salty. He said the beauty of the meat was completely drowned by the salt and seasoning. I had the taco salad. While the taco meat to lettuce ratio was good, I was disappointed it came encircled with tortilla chips, not in a traditional fried flour tortilla. (it may have called that out on the menu, but I had forgotten my glasses). I want to live this place because so many people do, but I just can't.
