Capital Pizza - Lubbock

I have had pizza from nearly everywhere in Lubbock, and this place is my favorite. It costs a little bit more $22 for a large pizza), but they have the best pizza I've ever had. What is it, you ask? The jalapeno popper pizza. Cream cheese base sauce, topped with goat cheese, cheddar, FRESH jalapenos always better than pickled when cooking), and bacon. It's amazing. Even better, this place NAILS how to make a crust both crispy and chewy. Nails it. Every time... Check it out.

Good pizza, there crust is amazing. Get the meat Meat Lovers Pizza. If your vegan LEAVE, scadaddle, get out of my sight your a disappointment to your family. If your wondering why your unhappy it's because your vegan. I hope I made an impact on your life

Pizza rolls and calzones were amazing. Service and ticket times were ridiculously bad. Pizza rolls were one of the best I've had. A lot of cheese and tasty marinara. Caesar salad was great with a caesar vinaigrette. White pizza left more to be desired. It was Luke warm with little flavor. Server didn't even try, too busy cleaning her section. We had to ask 3 times for our table to be cleaned. No one was offered another drink from bar or drink refills. Mind you, we arrived at 9 pm so they weren't busy. Salad/appetizer took 20 minutes, entrees took 1 hour! Finally received food with one calzone missing. Everyone was finished eating and checks were closed, still never arrived 30 minutes later. She offered to bring it to-go and it never came so we left without it and she had no clue. The guy with no food had to share food with someone else. Wings appetizer arrived after pizza did. Had to ask for ranch multiple times, she gave us a container that was left on a dirty table! Food was great but the service and ticket times will make us reconsider returning.

On my recent trip to Lubbock, I had the opportunity finally order Capital Pizza delivery. The process was easy, and the pizza arrived hot and delicious. The quality of the toppings and the amount used is consistently impressive. This was one of the most delicious pizzas I have ever had.

Terrible pizza, poor service. Tonight I came in, and ordered a small cheese pizza with onion and tomato. What they served up was a truly goopy mess devoid of any quality, browning (of the cheese), or toppings. What ensued? A sea of goopy, tasteless, adhesive-like cheese dumped on a thick crust. When I politely asked the staff if they could give it more time to attempt to salvage it, mentioning that the cheese was tasteless, near raw, and adhesive like, they responded by saying that the oven was turned off before the pizza was out. They charged me for the whole thing but waived the price of the soda. When I asked for a refill of iced tea to go, you got it... they threw it away in anticipation of closing. One of the worst pizzas I 've ever had at a dedicated pizza restaurant. My standard is Pizzeria Mozza in Hollywood, where Nancy Silverton creates culinary miracles. This was bad, really bad. Update: The manager responded that it is disrespectful for paying customers to frequent their store much before closing. We will seem this the quote of the quarter. No wonder quality here is ailing, with leadership like that. Turning the oven off early, serving up raw pizza. Yeah, that 's real responsible!
