Contribuiți la feedbackLocal place to get some breakfast and early lunch. Just a few shops down from Joma Cafe. Ordered khao piak which costs 20,000 kip and a cup of fresh orange juice at 25,000 kip. Spacious seating area with fans. It was cooling in the shop even though the weather was blazing hot outside.
I stayed just next lane so checked out the place. Many had their Pho as it was morning but I had their rice wrapped with filling, hot Lao coffee and 2 pieces fried dough. Get the lady to warm it up a little, point to the steamer (I did). It will be awesome with their peanut sauce but I also added chilli sauce as a side like Malaysia style. Came up to 40K Kips total. Recommend u give this a try. A local joint.
Come here to save a bit of money. The Lao coffee with milk was 6,000. The dishes range from 15,000 to 20,000. The pork basil was fine and the fried rice was especially good. I saw on the menu they have rice porridge for 10,000.

We stumbled on this local business that was just a few shops away from Joma Bakery. It is an unpretentious place unlike Joma, which mainly serves local dishes such as noodle soup and Lao coffee. The average price for food is about 15K. We went twice to this place and ate the pork soup, khao soi, pork and Banh Cuon. The food was great, especially the banh cuon. Very recommended and it will definitely not cost you an arm and a leg. By the way, coffee and tea was only 6K.
