So Fine Seafoods - Lower Hutt

This place has won lots of awards and I can see why. Consistently great fish and chips. Not too greasy, we’ll cooked. Really friendly staff. Surely this is the best fish and chip shop in the Hutt.

Friendly owners , thorough service Repeating order, asking for name and number and saying how long it would take. Had a good chat in store and very friendly. Food was great , not oily which we love ! Also add lemon with fish

I moved to Avalon in 2011 and discovered So Fine, which has consistently impressed me. I've tried fish and chips from various places across Australia and New Zealand, but I haven't found anyone as reliable in quality as they are. While they may not be the cheapest option, the value for money is always there.

I visited So Fine after hearing that they won the title of Best Chip Shop in New Zealand. The shop itself looks fantastic, but unfortunately, it seems I might have caught them on a bad day or had an inexperienced chip cook. The chips were disappointing—unevenly cooked and lacking in seasoning. I was really looking forward to enjoying some hot chips, so this was a letdown.
