Marko's Gyros - Lowell

I first sampled the Grilled Gyro at Marko's back in 2019, and I had the pleasure of enjoying it again today, in April 2022. This time, it was even more delicious! I can't quite find the words to describe it—just extraordinary food!

This is the second time my husband and I have decided to eat here. While they do have a somewhat unusual schedule, I think it's well-deserved given their outstanding food and customer service. I wholeheartedly recommend Marko's to everyone! The grilled gyro is exceptionally fresh, and their pita bread is baked fresh every day! The Spanish sweet onions, vine-ripened tomatoes, and their homemade yogurt-cucumber-garlic sauce are all incredibly fresh! Without a doubt, this is our favorite place for lunch.

The staff were welcoming and the food was delicious. However, I thought the bread was a bit too dry, and there was too much salad and hummus, which made the dish messy and hard to eat.

I am going to keep it simple, This is some of the greatest Food ever, Best Gyro I have ever had! Simple menu which is always a good think I believe and just amazing food!!

It may not be as noticeable from the street as it should be, but Markos in Lowell is some of the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. The customer service is top notch and it has exactly the flavor profile that I was hoping for. The chicken is tender and cooked fresh. The yogurt and cucumber sauce and hot sauce go extremely well together. My wife and I usually share one order of their Monster Fries with chicken (spicy). It is more than enough for two people and the fries serve as a great bed for the chicken, tomatoes, onions and sauces. My only complaint would be, of the multiple times we've had, one time the fries were not as fresh as I would have liked. To be fair, it was about a half hour till they close. There are benches outside which you can eat on, or just eat in the car. There is parking available usually, but the traffic right outside is a pain sometimes. They have confirmed on Facebook and in person that the chicken is halal
