Green Forest Tea House - Lowell

I had the strawberry cake, and it was light, fluffy, and perfectly balanced in sweetness—absolutely delicious! The ingredient list is simple, just flour, sugar, butter, eggs, cream, and a few others. My friend ordered a hot cup of coffee and said it was excellent. Plus, they stay open until midnight! The staff is friendly and genuine.

The variety of baked goods available here is incredible, especially the large pork steam bun, which is one of the best I've ever tasted. Their Chinese-style dishes are also delicious! I will definitely be returning!

Typically, this restaurant provides a great experience, but my last visit was quite disappointing. I had ordered a cake and paid a deposit, but when I arrived to pick it up, they were closed and did not call to inform me. During the coronavirus shutdown, I tried to get a refund for my deposit, and they assured me they would reimburse me as soon as they reopened. When I finally visited again with my receipt to get my deposit back, they told me they'd credit the $30 towards my next order instead. I usually buy a cake from them for every family birthday, but this experience has left a bad impression. That's why I've downgraded my review to 3 stars; otherwise, their cakes are quite good. It’s important for them to keep track of customer orders and communicate if they can't fulfill them on time!

Owner is not friendly or welcoming. She would stare and not say a word back. It seems like she's in a bad mood constantly. Food tastes stale. The cellophane packaging they use for their bread has a very strong acetone smell. Customer service is really awful.I will not be coming back in there anytime soon, if ever.

I bought the Fruit cake for my son special birthday with Duran only. As a result, they mixed Duran and Taro. My son allergy with Taro. I go back and talk to the owner woman, she seem like not really care and just blame to her worker. I walked away without any exchange. I paid full price for that special cake. I'm really sorry to my son that screw up his birthday. Be aware that place.
