Paciugo Gelato Caffe - Loveland

While leisurely walking through the quiet Centerra area on a Saturday afternoon with my sisters and their young daughters, I took on the role of the fun aunt and suggested indulging in pre-dinner dessert. The three little ones, all under the age of 5, enthusiastically agreed. While most of the flavors at the dessert shop looked delicious, they were all dairy-based. Thankfully, there were also some great lactose-free options available for us. I opted for a half-and-half serving of vegan dark chocolate and strawberry sorbet, which was absolutely delightful. One of my nieces chose a sophisticated flavor based solely on its appealing name (Amaretto) but found it to be a bit overwhelming for her taste. I mistakenly thought she had chosen Nutella, and we should have guided her toward something more suitable for her palate. I also had a taste of the refreshing limon gelato, which was pleasantly fresh and not overly sweet – perfect for those who prefer more fruit than sugar in their desserts. However, the standout treat of the day was the delicious macaron – a simple yet flavorful vanilla variety that completely won me over. I had never been a fan of macarons until now. These ones were chewy, dense yet light, and just the right amount of sweetness. Bravo to the adorable little shop that we stumbled upon – it was a delightful stop for a sweet treat.

Lovely little ice cream shop in the Loveland shopping center. The store is small with limited seating. They offer a variety of cones with or without chocolate coating, as well as different sized cups. Due to it being winter, the selection of ice cream is limited. Their affogato is not the traditional version with espresso and vanilla ice cream. They also serve coffee. The service was pleasant and polite.

Today there was an event happening at the promenade, so we decided to stop by afterwards. There were a variety of options to choose from, all with tasty flavors. The service was fast and friendly. We definitely plan on coming back for coffee in the future!

We arrived an hour before closing time and were informed that they were not serving any hot drinks or hot ice cream because the person working that day "didn't want to make any." She was very rude and disrespectful when we expressed our understanding. We usually have a great experience at this restaurant, but this one time was disappointing.

The staff at this restaurant is fantastic and the gelato is amazing! The Raspberry Swirl is absolutely delicious!
