La Cantina Mexican Grill - Loveland

I decided to visit Cocina Cantina during my search for breakfast burritos in Loveland, and I'm really glad I did. I ordered a chicken bowl and a smothered steak breakfast burrito, and the portions were more than generous. The flavors were fantastic as well. I can't wait to return to try their lunch or dinner offerings, especially with a margarita in hand!

The restaurant was empty when we arrived, but the waiter was polite and attentive. However, I found the lunch specials to be quite overpriced. The Taco Tuesday deal looked promising, though. I ordered nachos with beef and was let down by the portion sizes; they were stingy with the sour cream and guacamole. The refried beans lacked flavor, and salsa was an extra charge. My medium drink cost $3, and I had to ask for a refill. On a positive note, the water was served in a nice chilled bottle, and the restrooms were clean. Margarita flights are priced at $25, and there are some intriguing drinks starting at $7, while beer is priced at $5. Overall, I was underwhelmed, especially considering my lunch came to $23 plus tip. By the time we left, there was just a couple and two solo diners in the restaurant. Our server kept us waiting for the check and didn’t collect our dirty dishes or offer dessert. Quite disappointing.

The food was excellent, and the staff were very friendly. The chips and salsa were outstanding, though they cost $3. The Enchiladas Trio was delicious and quite substantial (my wife and I shared it). The sopapillas with ice cream were amazing. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, although there weren't many tables. I highly recommend this place, and we plan to return.

I thought the food was fantastic! I stopped by to pick up some dry cleaning at a neighboring business and thought I would try out their happy hour. Half-price nachos and house Margarita that actually tastes like a real margarita. Very impressed. Got out of there with a full sized dinner and 2 Margaritas for $21. Highly recommended!
