La Calade de Lourmarin

This little cafe is well worth seeking out in the back lanes of Lourmarin .We had a great welcome from the ladies that run it and although our french was rusty they were full of smiles and made our time there really pleasant.There is a small menu, but all home made and presented with artistry and care .We had 2 different tarts , wonderful pastry and a beautiful salad. The local wine was great , also the bowl of dressing for our salads.We loved the setting in a shady courtyard away from the bustle of the main street. This was a great find and the most enjoyable meal we had on our holiday. .

A soothing, friendly place, out of time. To attend without moderation. Salt and sweet pies are made from the house. A pleasure.

I recommend this place idyllic, friendly and with a great cook a real pleasure!

A magical place where it is good to stop. A very well decorated shaded terrace where you can enjoy a good iced tea with the choice of different fragrances. Friendly staff. It's worth the detour.
