Contribuiți la feedbackAte here during our first night in Lourdes and made reservations through Google/TheFork. Cozy restaurant right next to the River Gave and a short walk from the Sanctuary. The Cassoulet was fantastic and my partner enjoyed the veal. One of the few places in Lourdes that even knows what Gluten Free or Sans Gluten means. The wait staff was knowledgable and helpful in ensuring a pleasant meal.
Good quality food in a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. Good service. Varied menu and wine list with a number of choices across most palates.
Can't recommend high enough. Great food and service Definitely worth a visit. Visited out of season, went back twice it was that good.
Quite good - it's a little (very) of the main tourist trail but a proper restaurant unlike the many cafes and brasseries here
A friend of mine and I were touring the Pyrenees by motorcycles and spent a night in Lourdes. Our hotel recommended Le Bodegon, so we gave it a try. We were seated by a waiter who appeared to not like his job, and given menus and a wine list. We looked over the menu and wine list and a bit later our unhappy waiter reappeared and we ordered a bottle of white wine. Shortly after that another younger waiter came to the table to ask if we had any questions about the menu. As we were discussing some items with him the unhappy fellow returned with the wine, opened it and poured some in my friend's glass to taste for approval. My friend was in the middle of a conversation with the young waiter and did not immediately taste the wine. The wine pouring waiter started to become visibly impatient and after a minute or two dropped the bottle (yes, really - dropped) into the wine cooler bucket, turned and walked away. We were a bit put off by his attitude, but finished ordering our meals and the young waiter took care of the wine tasting and pouring ritual. Overall, the food was good. The trout tartar was especially nice. Later, we asked the young waiter for our bill. He brought the bill and left as you would expect. It was my turn to pay, so I looked at the bill, pulled out some money and added a modestly generous tip. Unfortunately, our rather unhappy waiter picked up the money instead of the younger man. He grabbed the cash without a word and walked off. As I had not told him that no change was needed, I expected that I would receive change. After fifteen minutes of not seeing the unhappy waiter or my change and I went and found him and asked if he intended to bring me my change. He was a bit flustered and mutter that the other waiter woud bring it. The younger waiter appeared a few minutes later with the change. At that point I recalculated and adjusted the tip significantly downward. So, this is a bit of a long story to simply say that no matter how good the food, poor service and a poor attitude can ruin the experience for the patron, as well as for others on the staff.
