We were recommended this restaurant by the host of our hotel. When we arrived, we thought it was closed as it looks to be in the middle of renovation. However, we were sat at a table and presented with plates of delicious anti-pasti and then pasta with sauce. The menu is very limited during restoration, but that suited us. We ate pasta with garlic sauce and pasta with tomato , which we split and shared. There was also carbonara, but my daughters are vegetarian, so we decided to go with the tomato sauce. Wine and desert are also included for a very reasonable 12 euros. It does feel a bit strange dining in a building site with a family who are watching tv, but worth it for a good, cheap meal in Lourdes.
We had heard from a friend that the food in the restaurant was very good and therefore my wife and I and a friend decided to go there for dinner. As we entered the restaurant, Luigi the owner greeted us and was very friendly and explained the items on his menu. The antipasto he served was excellent. For the main course we all had the Carbonara which was one of the best we have eaten in Lourdes. We live in Lourdes and eat out a lot! When the bill was presented we were surprised at how very reasonable it was. We recommend this restaurant as one of the best For pasta. Luigi informed us that very soon he will be renovating the restaurant and will then expand the menu as well. We look forward to trying the new menu.
This place is very unique but a meal we won't forget. Yes, it feels like you are eating in someone's living room even the TV is on, tuned to Italian TV, of course. We ordered the menu of the day and were all pleasantly surprised. Good, authentic neopolitan cuisine. Friendly service and accomodating to our food allergies. A fun experience!!
