Cafe Saint Honore - Lourdes

Fresh is so hard to find while traveling. Had a wonderful lunch but felt so deliciously satisfied that we had to come back for dinner. Merci beaucoup.

We started with the French onion soup why not get the real thing when in France.

What was a wonderful special meal on our groups last day in France was slightly marred by the bad attitude towards the chef from the manager?/server.

I ordered the Chevre Salad. The waiter/owner? dropped part of the oily salad including 1 of my 4 cheeses on my lap. My trousers were ruined. He picked it up off the floor -took it away and he didn't replace the cheese! To be honest the cheese was the only decent part of the meal. I asked for a price reduction - no response - so I asked louder - he reluctantly agreed. Unfortunately I only had a 50 Euro note - so he gave me the change without honouring the reduction (so much for Saint Honore). When I asked him about it he acted the Innocent (Pope Innocent?). I made a point of complaining loudly to the other staff and explained what happened - but hey - we are all passing trade so why should they care. As God lives next door - I hope he gets his just desserts - I didn't stay for dessert - as I might have had to change my shirt too! Please avoid this café and the f.....g Nazi who runs it - for your own good!

So close to the Sanctuary of the Apparitions of Our Lady, you can relax here, have a drink or a good snack. The staff is just super!! Especially Yannick and Yves!
