Nice setting and food is good, We had the set menu, choice of three starters, three main course and 2 desserts

Pros. V clean. Safe. Excellent quiet and dark rooms. Good breakfast. Food generally good. Adults pool q peaceful. Shuttle to marina. Friendly and helpful staff are excellent-such good customer service everywhere, especially when they were fighting their own systems or processes. Taxi to airport good value. Cons. Plenty of queuing-especially breakfast. Restaurant needed a more Varied menu. Perhaps a daily special even or a buffet in the evening. Pool bar service undermanned. Expensive drinks and snacks. Swamped by families. Shuttle bus service difficult to rely on as it went at random times in order to be helpful. Hotel generally got really too busy to be able to cope. Spa was closed (the reason we booked the hotel…!!!

We stayed at the Hilton with my husband. Breakfast was lovely as was the service. I recommend this place fully.

We had booked to stay at the other side of the complex, which is only apartments. However, after we found out the air-conditioner was not working, we ended up staying here in a family suite. The suite is fantastic: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a table, 3 TVs and a small fridge. Great for us, a couple with a 19 and 15-year-old. I have nothing to say about the room and how everything was nice and clean. Another important issue is that there is free parking at the hotel. Things that did not go so well: Regarding the transfer to the beach., there were always a lot of people, so we had to wait. I understand that they cannot take as many people now because of the Corona virus, but maybe they should use a bigger van! Sometimes they would use a van that could only take 5 people...we once waited more than 30 minutes...It was very disappointing. The hotel is far from the beach, I thought that with the transfer it would not be an issue, but it is. So, please consider this when booking. I guess it depends what you are going there for. It was, however, great to have the reserved places on the beach. Supposedly because of Covid, we had to book breakfast. It is rather inconvenient when you are on vacation to have to book breakfast the day before and then when you get there you have to wait anyways, so I really did not appreciate that.

We liked our stay at Hilton Vilamoura. It was clean and everything worked well. Breakfast was average and not too many vegan options available at the hotel’s restaurants.
