Porkland Bbq - Louisville

Fried to perfection, moist, well seasoned and delicious. That's what was going thru my mind as I took the first bite of my fish sandwich here at Portland BBQ. And we are not talking about nuggets here. It's a big piece of white cod served with your choice of bread. They also give you a good portion of tarter sauce and ketchup. I also ordered a side of coleslaw, baked beans and decided to also try one of their smoked sausages. The coleslaw was creamy and all the flavors blended well together. The baked beans were something I had never seen before. It was baked with different kinds of beans. Regardless they were very tasty and sweet. Now, the smoked sausage, was the best I've ever had. It was smokey, not too greasy and the first bite, had that crunch that you experience when you know you're not eating an average sausage. The serve it on a hot dog bun with ketchup and mustard. The only i was missing was the Tabasco but, that's a story for next time. Highly recommend place to eat if you're on the west end or are looking for a nice, quiet and very relaxing spot to enjoy a good meal with your family. Reasonably priced for everything you get.

Had the fried cod sandwich with a side of baked beans. The fish was plentiful, as you can see the piece was huge. Great taste, fried to perfection. The beans were not bad, but I'm just not a huge fan of mixed beans. Overall, it was a good lunch and filling.

Food was delicious and you can’t beat the prices! Will definitely be back next time I’m in Louisville.

Porkland BBQ has the best fish dinners. You get a huge piece of fried fish, two pieces of bread, two hush puppies, and whatever side you want. I recommend the onion rings. They are located in the back of St. Cecilia and very nicely decorated. My little one loved the bug and the flamingo. There is a wheelchair ramp. The inside is very spacious but seemed like most people took their food to go. The homemade chocolate chip cookies were melt in my mouth delicious. Very nice and speedy staff.
