Longhorn Steakhouse - Louisville

I'm typically not a big fan of chain steakhouses, but during a power outage, this was one of the few places still serving food and drinks. It seemed like many people were staying home, as the restaurant was only half-full. Our waiter was responsible for about half of the occupied tables, yet he was incredibly personable, provided excellent recommendations, and left me eager to return—which I have since done. The margaritas were tasty, but it’s hard to enjoy more than one when you’re focused on steak. Since I wasn’t the designated driver, I indulged in the cheese fries appetizer, which were fantastic, along with three margaritas. This made the fact that I had been without power for over 24 hours much easier to bear! My friend ordered the Renegade steak, which was surprisingly delicious, especially for a sirloin cut, which is often not the best choice. The small Renegade is a fantastic lunch option, and as I mentioned, the service was exceptional. It was a wonderful surprise!

After I flagged her down to fix the order, I waited 35 minutes for the corrected meal, but nothing arrived. Finally, 45 minutes later, the replacement meal came, only to find it was still the wrong order: chopped steak with mushrooms and gravy, and a baked potato loaded with more acidic toppings. The waitress attempted to reorder once again, but by this time, the five others at my table had completely finished their meals. I then asked to speak with the manager, who explained that they were having a rough day. He offered me a third meal, but warned that it might take another 30 to 45 minutes. Seriously? When my meal finally arrived, the waitress removed the incorrect dish but left the wrong items on my plate. It wasn't that I couldn't afford to pay for the meal; it was just frustrating to sit there without eating through the entire Sunday dinner rush, all due to her mistakes. We will definitely not be returning.

This review is based on numerous visits, but in particular this one. my mother loves her brot. so she wanted to celebrate her birthday in longhorn. so our party of three went there on a Wednesday night. It was surprisingly crowded and we had about 15 minutes waiting for our table. when I told the hostess that we celebrated the 93rd birthday of my mother, we were treated like a royal treatment. our server, jaime, was very attentive during our meal. we ordered the salmon, a full ribbed strap and a 12 ounce sirloin. all the escaped came with two sides or an salate and one side. at the end of our meal brought jaime beautifully decorated icespoon with whipped cream with a single illuminated candle on the top. this was a free surprise for the birthday “Mädchen”. she enjoyed everything. we like longhorn because of the warm brotes, tasteful eating and unusual good service. even if it's a chain restaurant, we'll get diners again.

I enjoyed a margarita, and our steaks were fantastic! This was a great experience! Our waitress, Jessica, was absolutely wonderful—anyone who has her as a server should consider themselves lucky. It was our anniversary, and we had left a previous restaurant where we were never acknowledged. We're so glad we chose this place! Thank you for all your help!
