Contribuiți la feedbackI gave this restaurant a positive review, but it's not the type of place you can just pop into for a quick lunch. It's better to call ahead for food. The meal was very good, and the bread was spot on. The meats appeared to be a mix of lamb and beef, which I enjoyed, though it might not be to everyone's taste. The ordering process could be confusing since there's no menu and you order directly from a line. If you're unsure, just ask someone in line for guidance, and they’ll help you out.
They have moved--as great as ever though. Jasmin Bakery is now located at 2205 Steier Lane, just a short distance from the old location. They are as wonderful as ever...even more so now, in a brand-new building. Prices still very low, bread still wonderful. Same service with a smile.
This is the most amazing sandwich Ive ever eaten. And it certainly doesn't break the bank.
I adore this bakery. The place smells like freshly baked bread all of the time. White and whole wheat loaves are $2.50 apiece. The baklava was excellent until the last time I was there, when citrus slices were used. This may be a personal preference though. The rolls (30-60cents each) are chewy yet airy. The owners are incredibly nice and I have also received freebies on occasion. The gyro was good, with the best part being the pita.
I have been eating here for 16 years including the old location. The owner is kind and the food is amazing. I can not express how much you need to try their gyro. If you like gyros in general then this will be your new favorite place.
