J Gumbo's Highlands - Louisville

I love coming here when I'm in louisville! it's really hot, so pay attention to what they order

Crawfish etouffee ordered to go and it was delicious. Except the rice was really undercooked, almost unusable. it is an absolute scandal, because the court has great taste and many cancers, but the tear simply ruins it

Voodoo chicken gumbo by j gumbo did me a love spell? it had a good amount of heat the art, the U sweats and suck them their mouth and great taste plus the restaurant was cute and clean can not wait to taste the other dishes

I have to say it's one of a kind I never had soup that taste so good ever! this place should go to great events and offer sample and observe how it grows. the suppe has the potential to take off and I speak internationally. Do they not believe me? they try. I did and really glad I did. I hope I helped someone.

It's...just OK. The shrimp etouffee shrimp in a golden roux with celery, onion, and pepper was really just bland. The shrimp were of a nice size, plump and fresh, but the dish just had no spice and was evidently tailored to a much more basic palate. The voodoo nachos make your own nachos, any of the entrees over chips. The voodoo is chicken is in a spicy cajun tomato sauce with garlic and spices . Again, it was literally chicken with queso over chips. No spice, very little interest beyond a standard nacho flavor. Staff was nice even though one of the women working was new and made a few errors on my tab quickly rectified though so I cant be mad at that . I might go again to see if another dish is any better but if you think this is authentic NOLA food I have some bad news for you
