Hiko-a-mon Modern Japanese Sushi Fish Market

One of my restaurants. Food was excellent! Service was good; friendly, somewhat slower than the norm, but they were also quite busy when we were sitting.

Hiko-a-Mon is our favorite sushi restaurant in Louisville. The atmosphere is excellent and delivers for a nice date night

The food was good, it’s a cute little restaurant. however this was mine my friends 3rd time there we won’t go back. the server the first time was rude, but everyone is entitled to a bad day we’re understanding of that, so no big deal. second time there, different server- took forever for everything. we had to ask multiple different servers for help bc ours kept disappearing. it was not busy they seemed well-staffed so we weren’t sure of the reason why. this time, it was the same server as first time, it was the same experience with him. he was rude, took really long to help us, anytime we asked for anything (as simple as a side of spicy mayo) he acted beyond annoyed at us even walked away rolling his eyes. my friends i are pretty laid back so we didn’t make a deal about it while there, but 3rd time is strike out for us we won’t be back bc obviously this is just a trend there. we also noticed the people beside us having trouble as well, so seems like it could be a reoccurring issue.

The gyza was delicious, but the Hiko-A-mon suppe was ok. my noodles were chewing. the broth was delicious and the pork needs a little more taste. I was excellent atmosphere! our server was very helpful and nice. I would try again.

That's her time when we were here, the first two were great. Last night, the service was just terrible, our server never asked if we wanted to fill in, not put in the half of our food order, then tried to throw us out. eating is good, but this price I expect for better service, we will not be back.
