Beau Site Restaurant Garabit Loubaresse

If you need to find a good place for lunch on the long slog north through France and want something other than a motorway stop, then look no further. It's a short distance from the A75 and well worth the detour. We had the Menu Express which was excellent value and proved delicious. The views to the viaduct and the lake added to the ambiance during our stop. Recommended.

Wide choice of menus and a la carte. Traditional Auvergne cuisine. The aligot (cheesy purée potato) is delicious. The foie gras, prepared in house, is the best I’ve ever had. The beef is Aubrac, so tender. The ris de veau was also the best I’ve eaten.

Very beautiful site but rooms and especially noisy. We took this hotel for the return of our trip and dinner at the restaurant. It's good, but the service is extremely long each time especially with children, without any excuse. The boss is nice to the people she knows.
