Redbul Bar Restaurant - Louang Namtha

Stopped in for a drink while passing by. The cocktails are a bit pricey but good quality. BeerLao draft is available as well as bottled. The service was great. It was slow enough we were able to have a nice chat with the bartender. Overall cool place and the atmosphere was relaxed.

This is like a Euro-bar... Nice place, draft beer and sports. Cannot complain with the prices, it's cheap with almost 10,000kip £1 per popular beer. And gets even cheaper when you approach happy hour. Went there to drink cheap drinks and to watch some footie as well. Although would not go there for much more. Fairly cheap chearful and they have a pool table.

One of the many back packer casual bars in town. Pool table, good music and a nice area outside under the tree and potted ferns. Has all the basics. Nice.

If it were not for the fantastic service from these wonderful guys then I would be canning the place big time. The kitchen here has for a long time been a strong point. Great burgers. Great local food. But tonight the food we were presented was almost inedible. One dish was actually inedible. There are three rules of food. See, smell and taste. The Visage was great as usual. But the smell was off. The ingredients just did not gel. They smelled like something that just should not be served as food. My companion had picked something from the local menu with only Lao language. She said it was not good. We swapped but she also found my dish inedible. I thought it might just be Farang taste but not so. Now I remember the woman who used to run this kitchen. She was wonderful and nothing like this would have ever happened under her watch. The food was a strong point of the venue. To highlight depths this kitchen has dived into, the chips are now the frozen variety from the supermarket. They used to be fresh cut potato. I love this bar and the bar staff are precious. They are the type of bar staff who remember your name. Remember the last time they saw you and even remember what you drink or will suggest things based on previous occasions. I feel sorry for them having to serve this dross when they have had the best for so long.

I really enjoy the burgers at this restaurant. They are juicy and delicious. The ambiance is great with a pool table and beautiful music. The garden seats are also beautifully decorated.
