**THE GOOD:** I absolutely loved the atmosphere! The restaurant played some fantastic old-school Mexican tunes that truly set the mood; it felt like a Saturday morning with a señora cleaning! The decor was typical for a Mexican restaurant, complete with a charming patio. In terms of food, I was particularly impressed with their carnitas tacos—perfectly balanced, not too greasy, and simply topped with onion and cilantro. The self-serve salsa bar offered a fantastic selection as well. **THE REST:** My friend and I enjoyed most of our meal, but we were caught off guard by some menu items. For instance, I was surprised that there weren’t any salsa verde options for the enchiladas, just New Mexico green chile. I had hoped for more traditional Mexican sauces (like mole, guajillo, tomatillo, or árbol) to be featured, but it seems they only offer sauces made with New Mexico red or green chile. The tacos de chicharrón were incredibly spicy—which I loved—but they came topped with lettuce, tomato, and bell peppers, which felt quite unusual. I’ve never encountered those toppings on a chicharrón dish before. On the plus side, they did provide a Mexican-style salsa verde option for the chicharrones, instead of just the New Mexico green chile variant. My friend's carnitas tacos were topped with yellow cheese, which struck me as odd for an authentic Mexican street taco, especially since mine came without it. Overall, I would definitely return to sample more tacos, and when I’m in the mood for New Mexico-style enchiladas, the options here sound appealing! **THINGS TO NOTE:** There is no table-side service; you order at the counter, receive a number, choose a table, and your food is brought to you. Most aspects of the dining experience are self-service. Additionally, they only serve beer, wine, and wine-based margaritas—no liquor available. I’d classify this place as a mix between Mexican and New Mexican cuisine, about 50/50.

I was also told that my drinks would be brought to our table, but I think they were forgotten. I ended up having to return to the counter and wait in line to get our drinks. The cashier walked right past me without making eye contact, so I had to wait for another employee to assist me. While the food itself was tasty, our order was incorrect, and it felt like no one was in a rush to address our concerns or provide good customer service. Additionally, I found it frustrating that they ask for a tip before you even sit down to eat, which I did, but after experiencing such poor service, I won’t be doing that again. I’ve decided that I won't tip in advance at any restaurant anymore, as I prefer to see what kind of service I’ll receive first. I won’t be returning to this restaurant.

Man this place was amazing. I was skeptical I thought it was going to be mediocre. Well let me tell you, this place is amazing! A definite regular for me now. I have been craving a real authentic torta I got one! I’m pretty sure the bread is homemade because it tasted that good! The meat was tender flavorful. The garnish was crisp fresh. The guacamole was vibrant tasteful. Every element of the torta was delicious. The Limonada con piña the margarita was also very refreshing delicious! The salsa bar, don’t even get me started on that. You think they would all taste the same but they don’t. So please go get all the salsas ask for more chips. The only down size is the amount of chips they give you. Just ask for more!Parking: There is two entrances on either side of the restaurant to get access to the parking lot in the back. Both entries are one ways so just pay attention.

Oh sweet baby Jesus. This is my new favorite spot in Albuquerque. The food was AMAZING! Flavorful, spicy, filling, delicious, authentic! The best place I have been in Albuquerque, hands down! This is a must eat. The fish tacos were to die for. Our group debated on going right back for seconds.
