Zona Rosa Los Gatos

The dining experience was decent, but certainly not as impressive as our last visit about six months ago. The chicken enchilada was lacking in flavor, which was disappointing. Perhaps there’s been a change in the kitchen staff? On a busy Friday night, there was only one server attending to customers, which made for a slow experience. Unfortunately, we received almost no explanation of the drink specials or menu items. In the past, the staff provided much better guidance on drink options and the overall menu. This time, the overall quality just didn’t meet our expectations. We left feeling dissatisfied, especially since we had hoped to introduce our out-of-town guests to truly exceptional Mexican cuisine.

There are two reasons I would not recommend this place: 1. The service during lunch was slow. We arrived 15 minutes early for our 1 PM reservation, and they still took a long time to seat us. We waited a while to receive our drinks, to order a second drink, and even to get our bill. It's impossible to enjoy a meal here during a traditional lunch hour if you're on a time constraint. 2. The mixed drinks, specifically the margaritas, had a nice flavor, but I’m convinced they didn’t contain any alcohol. Friends of mine warned me that after dining and drinking here a few weeks ago, they tested their blood alcohol level afterward and registered 0.00 after four drinks. Not cool.

This place is a gem! The food is fantastic, but there are a couple of issues. The restaurant is quite small and the staff seems insufficient for the demand. We made a reservation two weeks in advance, yet we still had to wait 15 minutes for a table. I'm not sure if they were understaffed that night or just operating with a limited crew, but it did create a problem. If you're looking for a great meal, head to Zona Pink—it’s worth being patient for!

Really good eating here and a neighboring gem. unfortunately the last two paintings we visited, they had the door open to cool evenings. many diners have their licking or moaning up. that seems to be unpleasant and inappropriate. I don't want to be cold while I try to enjoy my dinner.

This time the overall quality is definitely not the same excellent quality. Disappointed as we were hoping to show our out of town guests real awesome Mexican cuisine.
