The Edendale Grill & Mixville Bar

Comfortable interior. The staff was friendly and attentive. As far as the restaurant itself is concerned, it could use a cleaning, e.g., our table had spots of dried foot on it (like some others around us), had to return a dirty fork for a clean one, and the padding had some spots of dried stuff (hope it was food, not that makes it better) on it. The food was like that. My **** Mary was delicious.

Not only was the service wonderful, but the food was delicious. I celebrated my day there for Sunday brunch. For a party of 15 everyone was satisfied with their court. I had the shrimps and grits that were tasteful. Other people go the chicken and waffles, breakfast sandwich and a chic salad. The concrete presentation was also beautiful. I want to try her dinner next time.

The food was innovative, delicious and fresh. The salmon with lemongrass was refreshing and perfectly prepared tender and cesty. We also enjoyed the tilapia ceviche, and the old vine was so fruity and well balanced.

The bar is the best in this place. Food is much improved in previous days. But see your step dark and dangerous.

Located in an historical re-purposed firehouse in a difficult to find Silverlake/EchoPark location (my date got lost, stopped at a police station, and got wrong directions to the address), the food is quite good, especially for the price. Lovely outdoor area, inside rambles, several rooms. Inside, the music and noise in general was too loud (but, I am 65), but outside was great. Service was enthusiastic and efficient. The beet salad was terrific and the pork chop was quite good. I did not have desert. The wine list is shockingly affordable (I pay more for bottles of wine at discount than the most expensive bottle I saw on the menu).
