My mother in law told me about this restaurant and since her doing so it has literally been a staple in myfamily. You can taste the love in these dishes. My personal favorites are the shrimp and grits also the cajun shrimp ????chicken ???? sausage pasta. Always fresh and delicious never lacking flavor. My husband tried out the smothered pork chopswith macaroni and cheese also rice with gravy it was very delicious as well. Thank You Stevies for always serving up thatfresh flavor cooked to perfection. Definitely a must try if you?ve never ate here before. You won?t be disappointed I promise???????????????????????????????????? as we say it?s BUSSIN BUSSIN ????
I got the vegetable gumbo soup. It was like food my grandma made. So very good but pricey. Probably because it's in the heart of LA and the overhead is high. But the food is ????. Nice family business too. Don't let the plain/minimal decor scare you. All the glory is in the food. They know how to make a Roux! I will be back!
Absolutely life changing food! I got the creole pasta and my boyfriend got the seafood gumbo. They packed everything well! This is food that tastes as good as it looks and more. The intense flavors plus the fact that they give plenty of seafood andprotein, makes it all the better. If you want food that makes you rethink life, this is it!
Food was above average. Wife got the Creole pasta and shrimp and grits which both plates were pretty good. I got the red snapper which just okay, same with the Mac and cheese and red beans and rice. Overall, service was great and the family reallywanted to support black business. My only negative is the 18% service charge for ordering 4+ items, which is pretty ridiculous.I know times are hard but this add-on fee seems like overkill.
Everything was very delicious! ???? We had the fried pickles and corn bread to start us off followed by the catfish creole that melts in your mouth and the seafood gumbo loaded with meats with a side of candied yams! For dessert we decided on peachbeignets filled with cobbler. Highly recommend! ????????
