I feel like a meal is very complete, choice of protein, scoop of rice, side of mac salad, what more can you ask for. The Sriracha is a different brand Sriracha, it was more vinegary, but not in a bad way, it actually works well with the meal and hits the spot. Meal, service charge, taxes, and tip came out to be about $20 a person, that's just the price you pay for when you don't want to go get food yourself. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:
Not bad! I tried the Hawaiian BBQ Mix for $16.41! They were very generous with the meat but to be honest, nothing stood out in taste! I wished they had more vegetables and maybe some sauce to the meat!
I can't say enough good things about Ono Hawaiian BBQ! The service was exceptional – we felt like honored guests from the moment we arrived. The food was an absolute delight, a symphony of Hawaiian flavors that danced on our taste buds. From the poke bowls to the huli huli chicken, everything was perfection. And the ambiance? Oh, it was pure Hawaiian paradise! The decor, the music, and the overall atmosphere made us forget we were miles away from the islands. This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of Hawaii and a warm, welcoming experience.
Great food. Pretty quick service even when there are a lot of customers. Parking
I have been coming here since they first opened. I normally do not have a bad experience but recently I noticed a customer service has started lacking slightly.I placed two orders one for me first and then one for my friend (paid separately). My friend got his food immediately and it was undercooked. We went back to tell them, and they remade his food and he got it right away but I guess us requesting them to cook his food properly made them mad and they decided not to cook my food at all. I sat there for 30 minutes watching while they gave everybody else their food who came in after me. I had already asked about my food and was told it would be coming out. I went back up to the register to ask why they won't give me my food, and they said that they did not even start cooking it, they forgot about my ticket and to just keep waiting. I told them no and to give me a refund because it was not fair that they would serve everybody else who came in behind me, but tell me to continue to wait. They gave me a refund then I noticed that they did not refund the full amount. I had to go up again and asked them to give me a full refund for the full amount that I paid. I then ask for the manager because I could not understand why I was being treated so much differently than all of the other customers there. For reference, I was the only black customer in the restaurant and the only one who did not receive his food. I was told that there was no manager there. I asked for the name of the manager and the employee did not want to give it to me. I had to ask multiple times who the manager was so I could speak with them about the way I was treated and I can tell that they were mad and had an attitude, but because I remain professional, they could not say nothing to me. After asking them four times the name of the manager I was told to talk to Wendy. I then ask why they did not want to cook my food and just make me wait wasting my time and money. They said that they just made a mistake and forgot to cook my food even though I asked about my order multiple times, and especially since I was the only person in the restaurant when I placed my order. It does not make sense that my food did not get cooked first.I feel that they either had some sort of racial bias towards me, or that they were mad because they undercooked my friends food and I complained about it and they had to remake the order. I believe they were upset that we politely asked them to simply cook the food a tad bit longer, and decided not to make my food at all even though I already paid. There was just a general negative attitude that some of the employees had towards me for no reason at all, and being the only black person in the restaurant that is the only thing I can think of as to why they took my money and still refused to serve me. I saw the treatment that the other customers were getting and I feel if I was white or Hispanic I would not have been treated like this. I have no problem spending my money at a place that will treat me with dignity and respect, and I have no problem not spending my money at places that do not. After years of coming here, I've enough issues in one day to say that I will never come back.
