Contribuiți la feedbackGreat for family gatherings and also a friendly sports bar with expanded seating options. The food is outstanding and top-notch. You can trust that you will have a wonderful dining experience here, whether it's with your family or on a date. Food rating: 5/5.
We got seated on Father’s Day with a reservation knowing it would probably be busy. After we sat down about fifteen minutes went by before anyone came by. We tried to ask the hostess but she came off like she couldn’t be bothered which was disappointing. Finally a server came over and took our order. Another 15 min no drinks. We again got up and asked someone who brought us water but still not the drinks we ordered. Another 15 minutes go buy and zero attentiveness or attention from our server or management. No one ever came to say “we’re sorry it’s slow today we’re short handed” which is what seemed to be the problem. Finally it seemed like we’d been forgotten as nothing we ordered (including place settings) had ever been brought out to us, at the hour marker we left sorely disappointed. Likely won’t go back.
Cute spot with valet parking. I loved the putdoor seating. We started with the cheese curds, and they were amazing! Definitely a spot I will visit again.Food: 4/5
No wait to be seated, friendly and quick service, lots of seating, reasonable prices for LA and no worries on parking as long as you’re ok with valet only. However, both my partner and I weren’t super crazy about the food. So while I can see how others like it, and I wouldn’t want to spoil that it’s not a place we’d return to I don’t think.
We have been coming to this restaurant for several years. In fact, we remember when it was called Home and had different owners. Lately we have noticed a significant change in quality of service for the worse. Today we stopped in for brunch. Immediately the hostess asked us if we had reservations. While looking around the almost empty outdoor seating area, we admitted we did not have a reservation. The host then began to seat us at a table inside the restaurant. My significant other and I preferred to sit outside, so we politely asked if we could sit in one of the many empty tables or booths outside. The hostess quickly replied we have SEVERAL RESERVATIONS, so unfortunately, no . My boyfriend and I politely pointed out over half of their outdoor tables were vacant. The hostess replied and said she would have to check with the manager . She came back a few minutes later and agreed to let us sit outside but only at a small table or small booth to make sure all of their large reservations could be accommodated. We happily thanked the hostess and sat down. After a few minutes our waitress came around and took our order. The food was pretty good; which it always has been. However, the waitress seemed to be deliberately ignoring us throughout our meal. She was more than happy to help the table next to us on several occasions and only came over to our table when we flagged her down with much effort. At one point I literally had to get up, and track her down inside the restaurant to ask for more iced tea and salt and pepper (which was not on any table). To top it all off- literally NO ONE came into the restaurant during the entire time we were dining. We were specifically told we could not sit outside because of SEVERAL LARGE RESERVATIONS that were coming soon . Seems weird that the entire hour we were dining, no one came in at all. Did all those large reservations cancel? As we were getting up to leave, another couple walked in and were immediately seated (without question) at an outdoor booth. Was this the large reservation they were so concerned about seating? Seems odd since there was plenty of room for an additional couple in the outdoor area while we were dining. Makes me wonder why Ivanhoe treated us so differently when we asked to be seated outside.I 'm not sure if the bad service we received today was because we had the audacity to ask to be sat outside on a beautiful day, or if it was something else. However, the whole reservations game is kinda obnoxious and pretentious when the customer is literally staring at a half empty restaurant. Either way, Ivanhoe can rest assured, we will not be returning. This will leave them plenty of room for all of their large reservations they seem to have coming in.
