In the heart of the city is Drago Centro, an upscale Italian restaurant for the cities of Los Angeles. Dragon Centro has a beautiful place in DTLA, outside of Figueroa and 6., with a spacious bar, glass enclosed wine display, high ceilings, and a beautiful heated outdoor terrace, all smack dab in the middle of downtown high-rise buildings. This is the type of place where high-performance lawyers, first-class time accountants and smooth talking consultants have their power lunches and wet snout happy hours. In principle, Drago Centro is your typical DTLA restaurant. Tonight, our little dinner party ordered the crab pasta, the Kala lasagna, the chicken and the Ossobuco. I ordered the lasagna, lasagna alla bolognese – veal bolognese lasagna, parmesan cheese, and was slightly disappointed. I would have listened to my friends and tried something else. I'm so stubborn. I like the comfort courts in which you know what you get. I expected a large goat cheese with a spicy meat. But I got delicate aromas with a little less salty than expected calf. Miss M got the crab pasta, the i tagliolini con granceola – dungeness crab tagliolini, tomatoes, basil. I had a little bite and thought it was really good. As a rule, I never thought much about crustaceans in pasta – not a big fan of shrimps, lobsters or crabs in pasta. I always thought it was hard to do. Maybe I have to rethink my prejudices. My friends who saw my pictures of the pasta immediately pointed out and recommended this pasta. My other compatriots got the chicken, the il pollo al tartufo – truffles boiled chicken breast, forest mushrooms, and the calfsosososbo, the l’ ossobuco di vitella – braised veal ossobuco, endive, parsnips, almonds. I think the Osso sauce was much better than the chicken, but the chicken was pretty good.
I love this restaurant, it is always very tasty and constantly they have new dishes. ask the waiter what they have today. because they have a special dish every day?? you are the best
This is the fancy Italian restaurant at downtown LA. The ambience of the restaurant is so nice and cozy. The service is so good. The food was excellent as well as the beverages and wine.
The service and the food were excellent. Ordnete the lobster pasta, and was impressive, I would suggest more of a spice to the dish. I added the Parmesan cheese and that was a game change: getting a completely new taste was the best parm I ever tasted. The scallops and mushrooms were my least preferred. Nothing to write. That was my first experience of eating veal, and I don't think I would eat it in a different way than I had prepared at Drago. Was an unforgettable taste and very satisfied with all the experience
Love this place! They sat on the terrace with our dog and we had such a great meal! The Burrata was delicious, the Cacio e Pepe was exactly what you want and the sliders were also good. Yummy drinks and beautiful wine selection also!
