Clayton’s Public House - Los Angeles

This bar has so much personality! From the moment you step through the solid front door, you are inundated with portraits of fascinating people from yesteryear. Magicians, scientists, circus performers. Then the highly attentive and server comes by (don't remember his name but he had facial hair) and hangs out at your table to tell you a bit about the history of the place and the photograph you were looking at. He convinced me to try an interesting sounding drink that has you pour the liquid over a sort of merengue (vegan) and watch as it has a chemical reaction before you take in the floral aroma and subtly sweet and distinctly unique flavors. The chicken bites were the best I've ever has, juicy and flavorful enough that you don't even need sauce. The mac n' cheese was delicious and my dad was very pleased with the fish n'chips. Definitely frequenting this place in the future!

I was skeptical from British eating in la until I came here, an absolute hidden gem in the city with fun decor, great drinks and great eating! the whole food was performed spectacularly, from fresh to talent, I will be absolutely back!

The staff was nice and friendly. beloved love loved the way it is set up. I also like to show her menu outside so that people like my friend and I who were never there, we can imagine what they serve and even if within their price-class incase they are on a budget, they avoid the inconvenience to ask this type of how much is it or oh snap to pricy we have to go a kind of situation. I loved the drinks and loved how dark it was and just the right amount of lighting. I am a big harry potter fan and there was just that vibe like I was there in the movie lol loved the toilets and that the flush is motion sensored so that I don't even have to touch in the done. but do not put her handbag on her because it will turn on, happened to my friend and her handbag had a miniflood in her lol. great place really clean and super. not the best pictures, but will snap back and post a few more.

Great place for happy and hearty food options. I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb shepard's pie that came with a nice side salad. Servers were very nice and attentive. I am not a fan of its location in dtla but there were plenty of parking garages near by.

Excellent service at the bar! Deviled eggs are good enough to trade your soul for! Mezcal cocktails and chic bits are yummy!
