Lorne Surf Life Saving Club

The surf club has great views, but that’s the only positive I could find. Mundane, poor customer service at best. We ordered a chocolate thickshake that was basically milk with barely a splash of chocolate syrup, the ice cream was non-existent. My vego friend ordered the vegetable pizza and couldn’t get through it, very doughy, with sloppy veg and a cheap and nasty balsamic dressing. Stay away. The kids Napoli pasta was literally noodles mixed with tomato paste, that’s it. I would recommend every other place in Lorne to eat, and even then I would go hungry before ever eating at the surf club again.

This is a freindly little place right on the ocean with great views. The food was very quick and the service was prompt. The drinks on offer were very good too. Overall this was a good pick after a long walk and the staff were very helpful and firendly.

There we were at the beach (mad geriatric surfer) and thought I would take my wife up to the club for a happy hour (because she had sat around will I surfed). Lo and Behold who also had the idea of the club as a great place for a beer overlooking a beautiful beach none other than my son and his friends Ain 't life grand!!!

The SLC restaurant is conveniently located for all visitors to enjoy a meal while taking in the beach view. Access is easy from the parking lot or via stairs from the road. For accessible access to the bar and restaurant, a small lift is available at the rear entrance. Just call the mobile number on the lift door for assistance with the wheelchair. The balcony seating is perfect for a nice day. The food is delicious, which is no surprise given how busy the restaurant is. The service is excellent, and the iced chocolate is amazing. Be sure to order the large bowl of chips to share. I would definitely return to this restaurant.

We keep returning to the surf club because they serve delicious and interesting meals at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is not pretentious and the view is unbeatable. Keep up the great work!
